Grammer Industries, Inc. was looking for a way to relieve our drivers of the painstaking task of writing down their mileage as they crossed state lines at all times of the day and during a wide range of traffic flow in an effort to keep accurate records for IFTA Taxes and IRP Mileage Reporting.
"We discovered Turnpike Global Technologies and began our investigation into how Turnpike's system would fit our needs. Turnpike offered a trial period and worked with us in some tricky tri-state areas for GPS accuracy. During this trial period, we accomplished a 0.5% (0.005) accuracy efficiency, with still a few small areas to work on. We began in full bore with Turnpike during September 2006. In April 2007, we underwent a Kentucky fuel tax audit. Our Turnpike figures were within 0.0004 accuracy of Kentucky's figures. At the end of September 2007, our odometer readings compared to our Turnpike readings (GPS positioning) were within 0.0007 of each other (over an approximate 2.6 million mile distance traveled). I had a problem with our system during August 2007, where a small amount of miles had to be estimated over a 10 day time period, which could be the reason for the majority of this discrepancy."
